Massage Services
At A Body In Knead, we believe massage is more than relaxation… it is a powerful tool for physical and emotional wellness. While massage is considered part of alternative medicine, it is increasingly used alongside conventional healthcare to support a wide range of medical conditions. Studies show that massage can effectively reduce stress, pain, and muscle tension, helping clients feel better, move better, and live more comfortably. Our focus is on therapeutic and deep tissue massage, supported by a wide range of modalities to address pain, discomfort, and stress at the source.
Deep Tissue Massage
Using slower, more targeted techniques and firmer pressure, this treatment works deeper into the muscles and connective tissues to address "knots," improve mobility, and reduce pain caused by everyday stress, repetitive movements, or physical strain.

Sports Massage
Sports massage is a targeted, performance-focused treatment designed for active bodies. Ideal before or after exercise—not just for athletes, but anyone who moves regularly. Please call ahead to schedule. If you don't see an opening that fits your schedule, also please contact us to coordinate.
Assisted Stretching
Trigger Point Therapy
Therapists use precise, sustained pressure (usually with fingers, thumbs, knuckles, or elbows) directly on the trigger point.
Pressure is held for 30–90 seconds (or longer) until the impacted area softens and releases.
Techniques may also include gentle stretching, myofascial release, or active movement while pressing.
The goal is to restore normal muscle length, improve circulation, reduce nerve irritation, and break the pain-tension cycle. $110/hr. $155/1.5 hr.
Reflexology
Your therapist will work from predefined pressure points that are located on the hands and feet. These pressure points are reputed to connect directly through the nervous system and effect the bodily organs and glands. The therapist manipulates the pressure points according to specific techniques of reflexology therapy.
Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT)
NMT targets the underlying causes of soft tissue pain and dysfunction rather than just providing temporary relaxation. Practitioners look for and treat:
- Trigger points (hyperirritable knots in muscles that refer pain elsewhere)
- Nerve compression/entrapment
- Myofascial restrictions (tight connective tissue)
- Postural distortions and biomechanical imbalances
- Decreased blood flow and ischemia in tissues
Aromatherapy
The use of essential oils is combined with massage to enhance psychological and physical well being.
